Subscribing & Unsubscribing

Subscribing

To mass subscribe people to your mailing list:

NOTE: You must also subscribe yourself to the list, even if you are listed as the administrator.

1. Go to http://civic.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/admin/your_listname/ or http://vbi.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/admin/your_listname/


2. Log in using the Admin Username and List Administrative Password listed in your set-up instructions.


3. Under "Configuration Categories" on the top left of the page, click on the "Membership Management" link.


4. Scroll down to the section titled "Mass Subscribe Members".


5. Choose whether or not you would like a Welcome Message sent to the subscribers.


6. Add subscriber email addresses to the box, one address per line.


7. Click the "Submit Your Changes" button.

Users can subscribe themselves to your list by going to the list information page at: http://civic.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/listinfo/your_listname/ or http://vbi.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/listinfo/your_listname/.

You can also see a list of your subscribers by going to your list information page at http://civic.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/listinfo/your_listname/ or http://vbi.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/listinfo/your_listname/ and clicking the "Visit Subscriber List" button.

Unsubscribing

To unsubscribe someone from your mailing list:

1. Go to http://civic.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/admin/your_listname/ or http://vbi.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/admin/your_listname/


2. Log in using the Admin Username and List Administrative Password listed in your set-up instructions.


3. Under "Configuration Categories" on the top left of the page, click on the "Membership Management" link.


4. In the "Membership List" box, find the address(es) you wish to unsubscribe.


5. Click on the "subscr" checkbox so that the check disappears.


6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "Submit Your Changes" button.

Users can unsubscribe themselves to your list by going to the list information page at: http://civic.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/listinfo/your_listname/ or http://vbi.cumberlandfirst.net/lists/listinfo/your_listname/.

Changing a Subscriber Address

To change the email address of a subscriber, you must unsubscribe the old address and then subscribe the new address.
